Novo Brdo, also known as Novobërda or Artana, is a town and municipality situated in the Pristina district of Kosovo. The administrative center of the municipality is located in the village of Bostane. According to the 2011 census, the area had a population of 6,729 inhabitants, with an Albanian majority reported in the 2024 census.
The region is historically significant for its role in mining during the medieval period. This activity was notably bolstered after the construction of the Novo Brdo Fortress by Stefan Milutin, which was built to house Saxon miners who were brought into the area for their expertise.
