Falevai is a settlement located within the Vava'u islands of Tonga. The name Falevai translates to "water house" in English, a designation derived from the way the surrounding seas and oceans interact with the houses in the area.
The settlement is situated as part of a 2.29 km2 Special Management Conservation Area. Notable local names associated with Falevai include lafa 'i tua and kuli fe kai. In 2014, the village saw the return of the traditional art of tapa-making after the practice had been lost for several decades.
