Falefā is a city located on the northeastern coast of Upolu island in Samoa. It holds historical significance as the ancient capital during the reign of King Fonoti (Tupu Tafaʻifa).
The site became the seat of government after King Fonoti defeated his kin, Vaʻafusuaga Toleafoa and Samalaulu, to gain control over Samoa. This historical designation is preserved in the local faalupega, which commemorates the king's choice to rule from Falefā.
