Rạch Giá is a provincial city in Vietnam that previously served as the capital of Kiên Giang province. It is situated on the eastern coast of the Gulf of Thailand, located approximately 250 kilometres (160 mi) southwest of Ho Chi Minh City.
The city's geography is defined by its coastal position, with the Gulf of Thailand lying to the west and surrounding portions of the urban area. It shares borders with several neighboring locations: Tân Hiệp and Châu Thành town to the east; Châu Thành and An Biên town to the south; and Hòn Đất and Tân Hiệp to the north.
