Tan An

Tân An is a type-2 urban area located in the Tây Ninh province of Vietnam. Situated within the Mekong Delta region, it previously served as a provincial city for Long An province before its administrative status was updated. The city was officially upgraded from town to city status on August 26, 2009.

The city covers an area of 81.79 km2 and had a recorded population of 165,214 as of 2009. Its administrative divisions consist of three wards—Tân An, Long An, and Vĩnh Hậu—along with one commune, Vĩnh Công.
