Sơn Tịnh is a former district located in the Quảng Ngãi province of Vietnam, situated within the South Central Coast region. It is positioned to the northeast of the town of Quảng Ngãi.
The area is historically significant as the site of the 1968 massacre of non-combatants by United States Army troops at the hamlet of Mỹ Lai in Sơn Mỹ village, Tinh Khe commune. Today, this location is documented and memorialized at Son My Memorial Park, which is located in the sub-hamlet of Tu Cung within Sơn Mỹ.
