My Lai is a location situated in Vietnam. It is primarily recognized in historical records due to the My Lai Massacre, which occurred on March 16, 1968, during the Vietnam War.

The massacre took place in Sơn Mỹ village, located in the Quảng Ngãi province of South Vietnam. During the incident, U.S. Army soldiers committed a war crime involving the mass murder of between 347 and 504 civilians, primarily women, children, and elderly men. The event is noted as the largest massacre by U.S. soldiers in the 20th century.
