Bắc Kạn is a city located in Vietnam and serves as the capital of Bắc Kạn Province. It is the only city within the province.
The city is situated approximately 160 kilometers away from the capital, Ha Noi. Geographically, it is bordered by Bạch Thông District to its north, north-east, and west, while Chợ Mới District lies to its south-east and south-west.
