Villa del Rosario, also known as Rosario, is a town located in the Zulia State of Venezuela. Situated approximately sixty miles southwest of the state capital, Maracaibo, it serves as the capital of the Rosario de Perijá Municipality.
The town has an estimated population of 120,000 inhabitants, based on 2007 data. Its economy is primarily driven by agriculture, cattle-raising, and milk production. Notably, the municipality is recognized as the leading producer of milk in Venezuela.
