Carache

Carache is an island located in the northwestern part of the Bissagos Islands group in Guinea-Bissau. It falls under the jurisdiction of the Bolama Region and the sector of Caravela. The island covers a total area of 80.4 km2, with dimensions reaching up to 18.7 km in length and 7.3 km in width.

The island is situated near the island of Caravela, separated from it by a narrow channel. Carache has a small population of 428 residents, with Binte and Ampintcha serving as the largest villages on the island.
