La Grita

La Grita is a town located in the northwestern region of Táchira state in Venezuela. Situated within an Andean valley, the municipality has a population of approximately 80,000 residents and is characterized by its fertile land and natural setting.

The town features traditional colonial-style houses and open plazas. It serves as a destination for outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, mountain climbing, and the observation of local flora and fauna. Additionally, La Grita is a significant site for religious tourism, particularly during Semana Santa and the annual celebration of the Santo Cristo de La Grita on August 6.
