San Pedro de Coche is a city located on Coche Island in Venezuela. It serves as the municipal seat for the municipality of Villalba and is recognized as the island's largest town.
The island itself is one of three islands that comprise the Nueva Esparta State, situated in the Caribbean Sea between the Venezuelan mainland and Isla Margarita. In addition to Coche, the state includes the main island of Isla Margarita and the smaller Cubagua.
Coche Island maintains a long-standing tradition of fishing as a primary local activity. The geography of the area is defined by its position within the archipelago of the Nueva Esparta State.
