El Valle del Espíritu Santo is a village located near Porlamar in the Nueva Esparta state of Venezuela. Originally established as the capital of the island in 1529, it currently sits just north of the city of Porlamar.
The village is notable as the birthplace of Santiago Mariño and his sister, Concepción Mariño. It is also recognized as the site where the Virgin of El Valle, the patron saint of the island, appeared. The location features a pink-and-white church dedicated to the Virgin of El Valle.
The village attracts visitors throughout the year, with a significant increase in activity during early September for the feast day of the Virgin of El Valle.
