Naguanagua

Venezuela

Naguanagua is a municipality located in the Venezuelan state of Carabobo. It serves as one of the 14 municipalities within the state and forms an integral part of the greater Valencia Metropolitan Area. The town of Naguanagua functions as the shire town for the municipality.

Geographically, the area is situated in the valley of the Cabriales River at the base of Cerro El Café and the El Trigal Mountain. Due to its proximity to the city of Valencia, the two locations form a continuous urban area. A major highway connecting central Valencia to Puerto Cabello passes through the community, where Bolivar Avenue transitions into University Avenue on the northern side of a traffic roundabout.

According to the 2011 census conducted by the National Institute of Statistics of Venezuela, the Naguanagua municipality had a population of 157,437 residents.
