Ciudad Piar is a town located in the state of Bolívar, Venezuela. It serves as the administrative seat for the Angostura Municipality and is situated approximately 77 kilometres (48 mi) south of Ciudad Bolívar, though it is roughly 120 kilometres (75 mi) away by road.
The town is positioned in the eastern foothills of Cerro Bolivar, a mountain site utilized for iron ore mining. It is located inland from the large Embalse de Guri reservoir and functions primarily as a mining town.
