Achaguas is a small town located in the Achaguas Municipality within the Apure State of Venezuela. Founded in 1774, the town had a recorded population of 42,983 according to a 2018 census.
The town is notable for hosting the Nazareno de Achaguas, which is a wooden statue of Jesus considered to be miraculous. The statue has been kept in the town since 1835, when it was donated by José Antonio Páez.
