Clarines is a town located in the Anzoátegui State of Venezuela. It is situated on the right bank of the Unare River and serves as the administrative center for the Manuel Ezequiel Bruzual Municipality.
The town is positioned along Venezuela Route 11 and Route 9, with the latter providing a connection to Caracas in the west and Barcelona to the east. Clarines is located approximately 80 kilometres from Puerto La Cruz and 22 kilometres from Puerto Piritu. As of 2007, the estimated population of the town was 15,000.
