Shovot, also known as Shavat, is a town located in the Xorazm Region of Uzbekistan. It serves as the administrative seat of the Shovot District and is situated approximately 37 km north-west of the city of Urgench.
The town attained official city status in 1981. Its infrastructure includes a railway station on the Turkmenabad - Beineu line and an asphalt concrete plant. According to census data, the population was recorded at 20,600 in 1991 and decreased to 19,000 by 2016.
