Gurlan

Uzbekistan

Gurlan is a town located in western Uzbekistan within the Khorazm Region. It serves as the administrative seat of the Gurlan District and is situated near the border with Turkmenistan.

The town is positioned approximately 42 kilometres north-west of Urgench, north of Shovot, and south of the Amu Darya river. It functions as a major center for cotton production, while rice and yams are also significant crops grown in the area.
