Laramie is a city located in southeastern Wyoming, United States. It serves as the county seat of Albany County and is situated on the Laramie River. The city is positioned west of Cheyenne and approximately 25 miles north of the Colorado state line at the junction of Interstate 80 and U.S. Route 287.
The city is notable for its high elevation of 7,200 feet (2,200 m) and its significant railroad history. It is also home to the University of Wyoming. According to the 2020 census, Laramie had a population of 31,407, making it the fourth-most populous city in the state of Wyoming.
