Parkersburg is a city located in Wood County, West Virginia, in the United States. It serves as the county seat and is situated at the confluence of the Ohio and Little Kanawha rivers.
The city is the fourth-most populous municipality in the state and functions as the center of the Parkersburg–Vienna metropolitan area. According to the 2020 census, Parkersburg had a population of 29,738, while its surrounding metropolitan area had a total population of 89,490.
