Buckhannon is the only incorporated city in Upshur County, West Virginia, in the United States. It serves as the county seat and is situated along the Buckhannon River. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 5,299.
The city is located approximately 46 miles southwest of Morgantown, 88 miles northeast of Charleston, and 100 miles south of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Notable local landmarks and events include West Virginia Wesleyan College and the annual West Virginia Strawberry Festival, which takes place during the third week of May.
