Berkeley Springs is a town located in Morgan County, West Virginia, within the eastern panhandle of the United States. It serves as the county seat and is part of the Hagerstown–Martinsburg metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, the town had a population of 758 residents.
Originally incorporated in 1776 by the Virginia Legislature as Bath, the town was named for its local springs. However, it has been known as Berkeley Springs since 1802, following the name of its original post office. The settlement remains historically significant for its association with these natural springs.
