SeaTac is a city located in the United States state of Washington. It serves as the location for the Seattle–Tacoma International Airport, which is the primary international gateway for the Seattle metropolitan area.
The city was named after the airport's nickname, Sea–Tac. Geographically, it is situated approximately 14 miles south of downtown Seattle and 18 miles north-northeast of downtown Tacoma. The airport located within its boundaries is the busiest in the Pacific Northwest region of North America and is owned by the Port of Seattle.
