Mercer Island is a city located in King County, Washington, in the United States. It is situated on an island of the same name in the southern portion of Lake Washington within the Seattle metropolitan area.
The city is connected to the mainland on both sides by bridges that carry Interstate 90 and Link light rail. It lies between the city of Seattle to the west and the city of Bellevue to the east.
