Wytheville is a town located in the state of Virginia, United States. It serves as the county seat for Wythe County. The municipality was named in honor of George Wythe, who was a signer of the United States Declaration of Independence and a mentor to Thomas Jefferson.
As of the 2020 census, the town had a population of 8,264 residents. A notable geographic characteristic of the area is that it serves as an intersection point for Interstate Highways 77 and 81.
