Poquoson is an independent city located in the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States. It is also known informally by the name Bull Island. According to the 2020 census, the city has a population of 12,460 residents.
For statistical purposes, the Bureau of Economic Analysis combines the city of Poquoson with the surrounding York County.
