Cedar City is the largest city in Iron County, located in the state of Utah, United States. It is situated along Interstate 15, approximately 250 miles (400 km) south of Salt Lake City and 170 miles (270 km) north of Las Vegas.
The city serves as a regional hub for education and culture, housing Southern Utah University. It is also the home of several notable events, including the Utah Shakespeare Festival and the Utah Summer Games. According to the 2020 census, Cedar City had a population of 35,235, reflecting an increase from 28,857 in 2010.
