West University Place, commonly referred to as West University or West U, is a city located in southwestern Harris County, Texas. Situated within the Houston metropolitan area, it serves primarily as a residential bedroom community for upper-class families.
The city is known by the nickname "The Neighborhood City." According to the 2020 U.S. census, West University Place had a population of 14,955 residents.
