Sugar Land is a populous suburban city located in Fort Bend County, Texas, in the United States. It serves as the largest city within its county and is situated in the southwestern portion of the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area.
The city is positioned approximately 19 miles (31 km) southwest of downtown Houston. Its primary geographic center is located around the junction of Texas State Highway 6 and Interstate 69/U.S. Route 59.
