San Angelo is a city located in the state of Texas, United States. It serves as the county seat of Tom Green County and functions as the principal city and center of the San Angelo metropolitan area.

The city is situated in the Concho Valley region of West Texas. This geographical area is bordered by the Permian Basin to the northwest, the Chihuahuan Desert to the southwest, the Osage Plains to the northeast, and Central Texas to the southeast.

According to the 2020 United States Census, San Angelo had a population of 99,893. The surrounding metropolitan area recorded a total population of 100,159 during the same census period.
