New Braunfels is a city located in Comal and Guadalupe counties in the state of Texas, United States. It serves as the county seat of Comal County and covers an area of approximately 44.9 square miles (116 km2). The city is situated just north of San Antonio and is considered part of the Greater San Antonio metropolitan area.
The city experienced significant growth during the early 21st century, ranking as the third-fastest-growing city in the United States between 2010 and 2020. According to the 2020 Census, the population was 90,403, while U.S. Census Bureau estimates for 2022 placed the population at 104,707.
