Muleshoe is a city located in Bailey County, Texas, in the United States. It serves as the county seat for Bailey County and has a recorded population of 5,160 as of the 2020 census.
The city was founded in 1913 following the construction of an 88-mile railway line by the Pecos and Northern Texas Railway, which connected Farwell, Texas, to Lubbock through northern Bailey County. Muleshoe was officially incorporated in 1926. The city is notably home to the National Mule Memorial.
