Little Elm is a city located in Denton County, Texas, within the United States. It serves as an extended suburb of Denton and is situated as part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.
The municipality is characterized by rapid population growth over the last two decades. While the 2000 census recorded a population of 3,646, that figure rose to 25,898 by 2010, making Little Elm one of the fastest-growing municipalities by percentage in Texas since the turn of the century. As of the July 1, 2022, census estimates, the city's population reached 55,357.
