Levelland is a city located in the state of Texas, United States. It serves as the county seat of Hockley County and is situated on the Llano Estacado, approximately 30 miles west of Lubbock.
The city was named for the flat land at its site. According to the 2020 census, Levelland had a population of 12,652. The local economy is primarily supported by cotton farming and petroleum production, and the city is home to South Plains College.
