Harker Heights is a city located in Bell County, Texas, in the United States. Incorporated in 1960, the city was named after one of its two original landowners and founders, Harley Kern.
The city is part of the Killeen–Temple–Fort Hood metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, Harker Heights had a population of 33,097 residents, making it the third-largest city in Bell County following Temple and Killeen.
