Grand Prairie is a city located in the U.S. state of Texas. It spans portions of Dallas, Tarrant, and Ellis counties, with a small section extending into Johnson County. The city is situated within the Mid-Cities region of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.
According to census data, Grand Prairie was the fifteenth most populous city in Texas in 2010 with a population of 175,396. By the 2020 census, the population had increased to 196,100, maintaining its ranking as the state's fifteenth most populous city.
