Falfurrias is a city located in the state of Texas, United States. It serves as the county seat of Brooks County, which had a population of just over 7,000 during the 2020 census. The city itself recorded a population of 4,609 during that same census period.
The town was named after La Mota de Falfurrias, a ranch owned by founder Edward Cunningham Lasater. In 1893, the Falfurrias ranch was recognized as one of the largest in Texas, spanning approximately 350,000 acres.
