Sisseton is a city located in Roberts County, South Dakota, in the United States. According to the 2020 census, the city had a population of 2,479 residents. It serves as the county seat for Roberts County and is an important part of the Lake Traverse Indian Reservation.
The city derives its name from the Sisseton division of the Sioux people. Notable local landmarks include the Nicollet Tower and the "Song to the Great Spirit" building, which is situated on the campus of Sisseton Wahpeton College.
