North Kingstown

North Kingstown is a town located in Washington County, Rhode Island, within the United States. It serves as part of the Providence metropolitan area and had a recorded population of 27,732 during the 2020 census.

The town is home to several notable historical sites, including the historic village of Wickford and Quonset Point. The latter was the site of the former Naval Air Station Quonset Point and is recognized as the location where the Quonset hut was invented. Additionally, North Kingstown is the birthplace of American portraitist Gilbert Stuart, who was born in the village of Saunderstown.
