Wilkes-Barre is a city located in Northeastern Pennsylvania, United States. It serves as the primary population center and the administrative hub for Luzerne County. The city is situated along the Susquehanna River.

According to the 2024 census, Wilkes-Barre has a population of 44,661. It is an integral part of the Wyoming Valley metropolitan area, which consists of more than 40 boroughs and five cities forming a contiguous urban corridor with approximately 574,000 residents.
