Bethlehem

Bethlehem is a city located in the West Bank of Palestine. It serves as the capital of the Bethlehem Governorate and is situated approximately ten kilometres south of Jerusalem. As of 2017, the city had a population of 28,591 people.

The local economy is heavily dependent on tourism, particularly during the Christmas season. This period sees a significant influx of Christian pilgrims who visit the Church of the Nativity, a site revered as the location of the birth of Jesus.
