Wewoka is a city located in Seminole County, Oklahoma, in the United States. It serves as the county seat for Seminole County and has a recorded population of 3,271 according to the 2020 census.
The city was founded in January 1849 by John Coheia, a Black Seminole, along with other members of the Black Seminole community. Wewoka currently serves as the capital of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma.
