El Reno is a city located in central Oklahoma, United States. It serves as the county seat of Canadian County and is situated approximately 25 miles (40 km) west of downtown Oklahoma City.
The city was established shortly after the land rush of 1889 and received its name from the nearby Fort Reno. According to the 2020 census, El Reno had a population of 16,989, representing a 1.55% increase from the 16,729 residents recorded in 2010.
