Cuyahoga Falls is a city located in Summit County, Ohio, within the United States. It serves as a suburb in the Akron metropolitan area and is situated directly north of Akron. According to the 2020 census, the city had a population of 51,114, making it the second-largest city in Summit County.
The city was founded in 1812 by William Wetmore. Although it was originally named Manchester, the municipality was later renamed Cuyahoga Falls to reflect its location along the Cuyahoga River and the series of waterfalls that run along the city's southern boundary.
