Van Nest is a working-class neighborhood located in the East Bronx section of the Bronx borough in New York City, United States. It is situated with boundaries defined by Bronxdale Avenue to the northeast, the Amtrak tracks to the southeast, and Bronx Park to the west.
The community is historically significant as it predated the neighboring area of Morris Park by 20 years, making it the older of the two communities. The primary commercial thoroughfares serving the neighborhood are Morris Park Avenue and White Plains Road.
