Peekskill

Peekskill is a city located in northwestern Westchester County, New York, in the United States. Situated approximately 35 miles north of New York City, the city lies on a bay along the east side of the Hudson River, positioned across from Jones Point in Rockland County.

The municipality was originally established as a village in 1816 before being incorporated as a city in 1940. It currently serves as the third-largest municipality in northern Westchester County, following Cortlandt and Yorktown. According to the 2020 U.S. census, Peekskill had a population of 25,431.
