Maspeth is a residential and commercial community located in the borough of Queens in New York City, United States. The area was originally established in the early 17th century by Dutch and English settlers.
The neighborhood shares borders with several surrounding communities, including Woodside to the north and Sunnyside to the northwest. To the west, it borders Greenpoint and East Williamsburg in Brooklyn, while its southern boundaries meet Fresh Pond and Ridgewood. Maspeth is also bordered by Middle Village and Elmhurst to the east.
