Kiryas Joel is a village located in Orange County, New York, United States. It is coterminous with the Town of Palm Tree and serves as a significant residential community within the Kiryas Joel–Poughkeepsie–Newburgh metropolitan area.
As of the 2020 census, the village had a population of 32,954, representing approximately 5% of the metropolitan area's estimated 712,000 residents. The community is primarily composed of Yiddish-speaking Hasidic Jews who belong to the worldwide Satmar sect of Hasidism.
