Kew Gardens is a botanic garden located in southwest London. Founded in 1759, it is recognized as a World Heritage Site and serves as one of the city's primary tourist attractions.
The gardens house the largest and most diverse botanical and mycological collections in the world, featuring living collections that include some of the 27,000 taxa curated by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Additionally, the site contains a herbarium with over 8.5 million preserved plant and fungal specimens, a library with more than 750,000 volumes, and an illustrations collection exceeding 175,000 prints and drawings of plants.
